BBFCFM included a Divided Sky tease, Foam contained a Dixie tease from Trey, Possum included a Tequila tease, and the intro to the first HYHU contained a "Charge!" tease. The Horse featured Trey on acoustic guitar and I Didn’t Know featured Fish on Madonna washboard. Bowie included Random Note and Simpsons signals. Page and Trey teased Entrance of the Gladiators in Possum. After the introductory HYHU, while Fish tried to figure out which song he would sing, Trey congratulated a fan who sunk two “baskets” during the BBJ. Page teased "Charge!" and the band responded with a brief tease of Rock and Roll Part Two before Fish cued up Love You.

SlavePhan THE GOOD: This is a wonderful show, hidden in the weeds of a spectacular month. The first set glows - Foam has a really wonderful silent section. Jim, featuring very heavy tension work by Trey, explodes beautifully during the last two minutes. FEFY, which received royal treatment during this tour, also is quite nice. The whole second set is played well, but Possum is particularly good - there is a quirky 93 element featuring lots of hesitation, capped off by a full-band Tequila tease (jumping back to the 8/6 show). However, the highlight of the whole show is the Bowie to end set 1. It features wild hey jamming (that would be present in all the rest of the shows this month) resolving into a classic rock jam. In this case, it is a riff from "Spooky" which the band picks up on and takes off on in a whirling cascade (foreshadowing the formula that created the 8/13 Murat Gin). This then warps back to a screaming Bowie conclusion. A must-hear.

THE BAD: Considering how well the band ripped apart the Bowie, set 2 is filled with somewhat minimal room to improvise (read Wilson, Fluffhead>Possum). Love You is funny, but it sure would've been nice to see more hey-jamming in the meat of set 2 (no complaints though!)

ETC: Several songs from this show appear on Youtube. Trey says hi to folks on the roof of the nearby building, adding "don't fall!". Trey introduces Fish as "a butt with protruding arms and legs" during I Didn't Know. Fish then plays a world-record "sparsest washboard solo ever". After Trey gives congratulations to the fan who makes 2 baskets in BBJ, the band teases R+R part 2. Fish asks if anyone actually knows the lyrics to the song. He also suggests that the band play that (but they don't). Fish calls Trey "Chuck Norris" when he introduces the band. Before Freebird, the band points out the "really big dude" in the front. You can see this guy in Youtube (he must be 6'9").

Review by Raible

Raible An easy-to-overlook show nestled in the midst of so many legendary shows. Great moments in both sets.

The opening slice of the fist set is a highlight. Nothing like a BBFCFM to start a show on the right foot! Loving Cup's always nice. Great Jim. Capped off by nice 93 tempo-bending Bowie.

A nice-length Hood, followed by the Wilson > Ice > Fluffhead > Possum meat of the set. All of the jam tunes got a quality workout in this one.

Juanferrr Fantastic show that radiates joy bolstered by a fantastic AUD tape on the spreadsheet. Starting with BBFCFM sets the tone for a frisky evening.

Delicate and beautiful Harry Hood in the middle of the second set starts off a great run with Wilson and a very cool Page-led It's Ice. Fluffhead it's a very clean and energetic version, Possum rages as usual.

Cool show!
